Midnight concert at Malibu
The Hindu Temple Society of Southern California (Lord Venkateshwara Temple of Malibu) is proud to announce a grand midnight concert by a world renowned vocalist, Rose Muralikrishnan and troupe, on December 31, from10.30 p.m. to midnight.
Rose Muralikrishnan, one of the leading vocalists in Carnatic music, captured thousands of music lovers’ hearts all around the world with the mesmerising tonal quality of her voice.
She received her master’s degree from
University of
Madras, Chennai, in south Indian music performance and theory, and had her advanced voice training from legendary musician, late
M L
Vasanthakumari.
She has toured around the world to participate in several music festivals. She has performed in the major world music festivals such as Music Academy of the West, the Center for Jazz and World Music Festival, CSU San Marcos International Music Festival, UCSB’s Day of Music, to name a few in USA.
She has also performed in many prestigious theatres such as Shrine Auditorium, UCLA’s Schonberg Hall, SDSU’s Montezuma Hall, UCSD’s Mandeville Theater USC’s Annenberg Auditorium, UCLB’s Carpenter’s Performing Arts Theater, UCSB Torrance Performing Arts Theater and Salk Institute of San Diego to add a few.
