Aasma takes centre stage with Bryan Adams

Barely two months since the launch of their debut album Aasma, the talented young mixed-band, are already creating waves on the music charts with their music. The band's self-titled album Aasma has just crossed the 100,000 mark in album sales and the figure is growing by the day. Adding another feather to their musical career, Aasma open the show for Bryan Adams during his concerts in Delhi and Bangalore on February 7 and 8, 2004 respectively.

In and era where the remixes arc ruling the musical chairs, Aasma has proved that there is definitely a place for originality, with the strong showing of their maiden album. Their songs, Chandu ke Chacha, a peppy dance number Tum Sa Hi Pyaar, a soulful ballad and their latest video release Jeet Lenge Hum has made an impact, not just on the music countdowns, but is also high on the request list of hot night spots and the party circuit across the country.

Chandu ke Chacha has in fact become the anthem of the youth in the country. This reflects in its huge popularity with ringtone downloads - it was the hottest downloaded ringtone.

Delighted by the news of the album crossing the hundred thousand mark and their performance with Bryan, the band members of Aasma -- Jimmy Felix, Neeti Mohan, Sangeet Haldipur and Vasudha Sharma said, "It's a dream come true for us. After a smashing debut performance in front of a crowd of 40,000 people, Aasma has performed at many stage and studio performances across the country. Their chartbashing debut 'Chandu Ke Chacha' and its dance steps have caught the imagination of music lovers, both young and old, from the across the country. This young band has not only created a name and a niche for themselves in the Indian music industry, but have also amassed a huge fan following.
