Vijay TV will be airing the world's biggest box-office hit 'Titanic' in Tamil as the 'Movie of The Month' on 29th February 2004 @ 1130 hrs.
Directed by James Cameroon, the movie won 11 Academy awards including Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress. This film ran successfully in all theatres all over the world. The cast includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane; Gloria Stuart et al. Vijay TV brings to its audience Titanic in Tamil.
On Friday, 27th February between 2100 and 2230 hrs, Vijay will telecast a special feature on 'The Making of the Titanic'. This feature will be presented by, none other than the veteran director Balu Mahendra. He will enlighten the viewers about the various techniques adopted in the movie. Unearth the hidden details about the lost maiden ship.
 The movie about the largest and the most luxurious moving object ever built by man is not just a cautionary tale - a myth, a parable, and a metaphor for the ills of mankind. Man proclaimed his creation as “unsinkable”. But the “ship of dreams” ended in a devastating nightmare.

Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) is a 17-year-old, upper class American who is forced to live up to the expectations of the rich society she lives in.
She falls for a free-spirited young middle-class passenger named Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio). He opens her eyes to the world that lies outside her cage, thus Rose and Jack's forbidden love begins a powerful mystery that ultimately echoes across the years into the present. Nothing on earth is going to come between them -- not even something as unbelievable as the sinking of the Titanic.
