Endrendrum - Are Your Ready?
 Endrendrum’, an event hosted by
Vijay TV was a grand success with the chosen winners from ‘Are you ready?’ contest, singing with their favourite singers like
Srinivas, Sujatha,
Karthik, Timmy and Srilekha. The event can
been seen on Vijay TV on June 6th, Sunday at 1130 hrs.
The event had a list of blockbusters lined up for the audience. The show started with the hit song ‘Endrendrum punnagai’ by Srinivas, Karthik and Timmy. Then came the hit song Apple Penne from Srinivas. This was followed by Sujatha with her old number Oru Iniya Manadhai from Johny, and Karthik with his 'Sakthi Kodu' in
Rajnikant's Baba, the song that gave him wider recognition. Timmy rocked the stage with his 'Dhil dhil' and last on stage came Srilekha Parthasarthy with her peppy number 'Kalyanam Thaan Kattikittu'. There was also a special dance performance given by the actress Alphonsa that was well received by the enthusiastic audience.
 Srinivas, Sujatha, karthik, Timmy and Srilekha sung many of their hit songs like
ambuli mamma and maan kuttiye. They also had a nostalgic round where old songs were sung by the renowned singers. The five winners who were chosen from “Are you ready” were then on the limelight along with the stars of the show. Srinivas along with Nithys sang ‘kiruka kiruka’ from the movie
'Whistle'. Karthik with Saindhavi sang
’Oliyile’. Srilekha along with Srinivesh, Pranavan and Nikhil sang
'kokku meenai thinnuma’, ‘chinna veda varattuma’ and
‘thimsukattai’ respectively.
The crowd of over 8,500 thoroughly enjoyed the grand show. Many of them danced to their heart's content and till their feet hurt.
 “Are you ready” -- the contest took place on 20th and 21st of May 2004. It will be aired on
Vijay TV at 0930 hours on June 6th, 2004. The venue was thronged by 50 excited participants who were both anxious and nervous to make it to the top of the final list. These 50 participants were selected out of hundreds of cassettes and CDs which poured in from various cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad and parts of Kerala. These 50 contestants were then reduced to a list of 20. Later these 20 contestants were reduced to an elite panel by the singers Timmy and Srilekha
Parthasarathy on the basis of their voice and stage presentation.
 On May 21st, 2004, the second round of the ‘Are you ready’ was continued. Srinivas and Karthik were called to judge and select the final participants. Meanwhile, there was another game played by the participants. They in their opinion had to choose who they thought was the best and worst singer. This contest in no way would affect the final verdict of the judges. The best singers were thought to be Rakesh and Saindhavi and the worst singer was Srinivesh, according to them. By the end of the day, five lucky winners were chosen by the judges. Nithya, Saindhavi, Pranavan, Srinivesh and Nikhil were the selected winners to hit the ramp the next day. These winners were all set to rock the crowd with an evening's practice on the very next day.
'Are you ready' will be telecast on Sunday on June 6th from 0930 to 1030 hrs. The main event 'Endrendrum' will be aired from 1130 hrs.
