SPY KIDS 3-D
 HBO, the world's greatest movie
channel, wrapped up the exciting 'Summer is HBO’ franchise with the third Big
One, 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over', which premiered on HBO June 25. The latest
instalment in this family-oriented, action-adventure series, 'Spy Kids 3 D: Game
Over' saw its Indian cinema premiere in April this year.
The Spy Kids are back again and
this time they set out on their most mind-blowing mission yet, a journey inside
the virtual reality world of a video game in order to stop a power-hungry
villain set on controlling the youth of the world. 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over'
stars Sylvester Stallone, Daryl Sabara, Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino the
motion picture event that pushes family fun to the next level.
Carmen is kidnapped by the evil
Toymaker and imprisoned inside the virtual reality game. It’s up to Juni now
to venture into the game and save his sister. The film’s three-dimensional
segments take place inside the game. Inside the game, an extravagant 3D world is
created that really makes each special effect come to life. The oversized
motorbike races, gigantic robot showdown, and lava-surfing make the children
feel that they are actually a part of each experience. 'Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over'
was shot partly in high-definition, digital video, using an anaglyphic process
to create the 3-D effect.
The spy organisation featured
in Spy Kids is called the OSS, presumably named after the Office of Strategic
Services. One of the chief themes of Spy Kids movies is the unity of family. The
films also toy with the idea of children having adult responsibilities. The film
is directed by Robert Rodriguez, who has written, directed and produced several
great movies, such as 'Desperado', 'From Dusk till Dawn', 'Faculty' and 'Spy
Kids'.
HBO brings the best of
Hollywood by premiering the top blockbuster movies on television first in South
Asia through exclusive licensing deals with four major Hollywood studios -
Paramount, Sony Pictures Entertainment (Columbia/TriStar), Universal and Warner
Bros.
Prime
time viewing on HBO includes HBO The Big One, a special television event that
premieres a mega blockbuster movie, HBO Saturday Nights, which premieres a new
box office hit each week throughout the year; HBO Superstar Sunday, which
showcases outstanding performances by Hollywood's hottest stars in their most
memorable roles. In addition, HBO features at least 3-4 new movie showcases
every month to offer viewers an interesting mix of Hollywood movies based on
exciting themes.
