Muthamittal’.

'Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi' is more like the South's answer to Shekhar Kapoor's 'Bandit Queen.'
This out-and-out Simran film, which hit an emotional high with both the urban and rural public of Tamil Nadu during its release in July 2003, boasts of a success story in box-office, with the press and the public alike for its gripping story line. Simran’s heart-wrenching, realistic portrayal of the oppressed Dalit woman, who fights against her tormentors, demands wide appreciation.
