Rajni Netru, Indru, Naalai
 The word ‘Kanth’ has now become synonymous with an actor to such an extent that any person who wishes to be a successful actor suffixes his name with kanth, to suggest that he too can be as popular as
Rajnikanth.
Rajnikanth was born Shivaji Rao Gaekwad on December 12, 1949, in Karnataka. He became a bus conductor and that was when he reportedly caught the fancy of the bus travelers with his mannerisms and style of issuing tickets and blowing the whistle and so on. Looking to become an actor, he moved to Madras and joined the film institute. It was here when K Balachander, a great director and well known for introducing talented, new faces into the Tamil film, cast his eyes on him. Balachander gave him a small role - as the no-good husband of Srividya - in 'Aboorva Raagangal' and the rest, as we know, is history.
Vijay TV pays tribute to this great star of Tamil Nadu, and dedicates to him a show based on his life history. The show, for over one week, December 8-12 at 9.30 p.m. exclusively on Vijay TV, will present to the audience 'Rajni Netru Indru Naalai' (Yesterday,
Today, Tomorrow).
Aptly titled so, the show will trace Rajnikanth’s footprints on the sands of time, from when the superstar was born till what he is today. The show also will talk about his future; it will carry the wishes of his fans who have made him; his colleagues who supported him; his friends who shared with him the happy and joyous moments of life; and, of course, his family.
The aim of the show is to entertain and educate the audience about a star, a superstar who has always entertained them. Vijay TV intends to throw light on the hurdles, which went behind the making of this living legend.
On December 8, the programme will dwell on the hero’s early days. Interesting facts about where the superstar was born, which school he went to, who were his friends, will be presented. Catch what his childhood friends have to say about him.
On December 9, the show will talk about his struggle to enter the film industry. The episode will trace the efforts of the star to enter Chennai, struggling to find a place for himself in the Tamil film industry.
On December 10, the show will feature some glimpses into his personal life. How did his marriage with Latha happen? The show will also talk about Rajni’s inclination towards spirituality.
On December 11, the show will present to the audience how the star turned into a superstar. Check out what his contemporaries, his well-wishers have got to say about this living legend.
