Title for Gayatri Girish
The Title of 'Isai Peroli' will be conferred on Carnatic vocalist Gayatri Girish at the 29th Annual Art Festival of Kartik Fine Arts.
The following eminent personages have been selected to receive the prestigious awards from Kartik Fine Arts on the opening day of the Art Festival and Tamil Isai Festival.
Gayatri Girish - Carnatic Vocalist {'A' Grade Musician AIR} will receive the ‘Isai Peroli Award’ on December 1, 2003 at the Narada Gana Sabha Hall. The award includes a medallion and cash Rs.15,000 with the citation.
Kavitha Ramu, disciple of K J Sarasa, an IAS officer, daughter of V Ramu, IAS, has been chosen for the ‘Nadanamamani Award’ (Shriram Award of Excellence). She will receive the award which includes a medallion, cash Rs.15,000, and a citation, on December 1.
Carnatic vocalist Aruna Sayeeram will receive the ‘Tamil Isai Vendar’ Award on December 26 at the ‘Tamil Isai Festival’ to be held at the
Valliammal College for Women,
Silver Jubilee Hall,
Anna Nagar.
The award includes a silver Thambura, a citation and a cash prize of Rs.15,000.
A V S Raja is the President of Kartik Fine Arts, R. Rajagopal is the Secretary and L Sabaretnam the Chairman of the Art Festival Committee.
