| The music and dance scene in the coming December season is
going to be as stormy as ever, what with over 2000 performances of Vocal, Instrumental
music, Dance - solo and group, by junior and senior artistes. The season begins early in the first week and goes on
till mid-January. Last year it was conducted by more than 60 sabhas, organisations and
individuals of repute and not-so-repute. This year too, the number would be equal,
according to the people connected with music and dance.
This year's season too, as in the past, is
going to offer sumptuous treat to the rasikas - local enthusiasts, those who come from the
other cities just for the season, NRIs who specially come for the season, as well as
foreigners who have an interest in Carnatic music. |
