  • Performing musician from 1975. Disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi Smt. T. Brinda and Shri. S. Ramachandran of Bombay. Concerts at many centres all over India.

    • Toured U.S.S.R. (Moscow, Leningrad and other centres) as part of cultural delegation during the Festival of India – 1987.
    • Participated in Music Festival (Voices of Women) at Liege, Belgium; Workshops and concerts in various centres of Europe-Brussels, Hamburg, Paris, London; concerts in U.S.A. – May – June 1991.
    • Concerts at Brussels, Hamburg, Paris; Nehru Centre (Indian High Commission), London; London Music Circle; New York, Boston, Pittsburgh, Washington – U.S.A. (May – June 1993).

  • Specially sponsored by AIR to give a series of concerts in Andhra Pradesh before invited audiences; 1985. Participated in Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan – 1995.
  • Selected by Tamil Nadu State Academy (Iyal Isai Nataka Manram) to give a series of concerts in South India – 1977.
  • Proficient in playing the veena. Disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi Shri. K.S. Narayanswamy.
  • Sung for an award – winning dance documentary film entitled "Sanchari", produced for the Ministry of External Affairs – 1991.

II Teaching

  • Lecturer at Nalanda Dance Research Centre, affiliated to the Bombay University – 1987-88.
  • Visiting lecturer in the Music Department of S.N.D.T. Women’s University, Bombay for a year; Taught Carnatic music to students of Hindustani music.
