No flag for Vijay
Many of the top stars like
Vijaykanth and
Sharat Kumar have flags for their fans associations. But
Vijay refuses to be
persuaded to have one for his fans. At a recent meet when one of his fans suggested that they could have a flag for
their association, Vijay ruled out the idea. The identity cards issued to you is enough. "We don't need any flags," said
the actor.

Racing for money
Succumbing to the temptation of lucre is
Ajit, who had earlier repeatedly asserted that he would never act in a
commercial. But one cannot blame the actor for his change of hear. He's taken up a
sport that is very expensive, one
that needs sponsors. And with no sponsors forthcoming, it's but natural, that Ajit would try to get all the finance he can
himself. But if only he didn't let his heart speak before his mind rationally totalled up matters in their proper perspective!
Incidentally, it's a coffee ad the actor appears in, with Simran sharing the frames.

Vijaykanth at receiving end
It was
Rajinikant earlier who was the target of the PMK. It's now
Vijaykant. It was a remark that the actor had made
about selfish politicians serving their own ends, and about those who've become ministers without fighting an
election
that has earned him the flak of the party. His effigy has been burnt, theatres stopped from screening his movies and
some fans arrested. Caught in the crossfire were the producers and distributors.

Return of K R Vijaya
Returning to the screen after a long gap is
K R Vijaya. The actress plays a crucial role in the Prashant-Meena starrer
'Shock', directed by Thiagarajan. The grace and charm with which the actress conducts herself has floored the total
unit, and they sing nothing but praises of her. The younger crop of actresses can surely learn a lesson from this
graceful actress with her winsome smile.

Rajini's loss?
'Aiye' has been launched with Sharat playing the dual role of father and son. Directed by Hari, it's being produced by
K
Balachander's 'Kavithalaya'. It's the story Hari had narrated to
Rajinikant. The superstar had liked it but there being no
follow-up to his appreciation, Hari had taken the subject to Sharat
Kumar. Has Rajinikant missed a good script? The
film will tell!
