Thicker than blood

If it is a K.Balachander directed film, Kamal Hassan should have a role. The actor doesn't bother about the character or footage. As long as he gets to show his face in a scene, Kamal is happy. In Balachander's 100th film 'Parthale Paravasam', where Madhavan and Simran play the lead roles, Kamal appears in a scene. In an industry where relationships are so brittle, the Kamal - Balachander association goes a long way back. No doubt there have been some minor rubs, but those have been smoothened out over the passage of time.
