Two in one
Kaja Mohideen of Roja Combines created quite a flutter in the almost dull atmosphere prevailing in Kollywood, when he organised two grand programmes on 25th June.
The first was the puja ceremony for their new venture, Charlie Chaplin. Prabhu and Prabhu Deva are playing the roles of Charlie and Chaplin, respectively. Abirami is paired with Prabhu and Monal is Prabhu Deva’s pair. Director Shakthi Chidambaram (who directed Ennamma Kannu with Sathyaraj in the lead role) is directing Charlie Chaplin. Cinematographer Priyan cans the shots and Bharani scores music. Lyrics are by Pa. Vijay, Thamarai, Kabilan and Sinehan. Kanal Kannan directs fight sequences.
Mrs and Mr Vijayakanth lit the lamp on the occasion.
The puja was followed by the release of audiocassette of ‘Alliththanda vaanam’. (And you now know why we called it a Two in one!) Vijay received the first cassette from
Vijayakanth. ‘Alliththanda vaanam’ is starred by Prabhu Deva and Laila. Lyrics by Arivumadhi, Palani Bharati and Kabilan, set to music by Vidhyasagar. Directed by Sridhar Prasad and cinematography by Ravi
Yaadav.
Kaja Mohideen is making these films after his successful venture Vanchinathan, with Vijayakanth in the lead role.
