Vairamuthu - a wiser man
The hottest rumour going round tinsel town some time back was that the Rehman-Vairamuthu team was in jeopardy. All because the lyric writer was bold enough and naïve enough to remark at a function, that his lyrics would be better understood if tunes were toned down a little. Of course his words were quoted out of context and a mountain was made of a molehill. Vairamuthu is a sadder but wiser man today and vows that he would never speak on the stage at any film function. At the audio-cassette-release function of 'Khushi' he was asked to say a few words, but he politely declined.
