Profile of Dr Sethuraman Subramanian
Dr Sethuraman Subramanian graduated from St. Joseph's College, Trichy, with a Master's in Chemistry and a Ph.D from IIT, Kanpur. Afterwards, he studied at the University of Kansas and did research at National Institutes of Health in Washington DC.
Later, he joined the industry and worked for companies like Bayer Corporation, Pfizer Inc., and Monsanto corporation. He also has an MBA degree. Recently, he set up his own consulting company.
His other interests are: playing tennis (at least once a week), listening to Carnatic music (every day), watching Bharata Natyam (whenever possible), and read Tamil and English literature.
Dr Sethuraman Subramanian is a Tamil enthusiast (adores
Bharathi).
He is a native of a small village
called MAththUr near Mayiladuthurai in erstwhile Thanjavur District (now in
Nagapattinam District). He supports an effort to renovate and maintain
dilapidated temples and those temples with minimal support in remote villages
in Tamil Nadu.
