In order to reduce one third of my power consumption

  • I will switch off all electric gadgets when not in use.
  • I will desist utilizing ornamental and decorative lights
  • I will try to switch over to solar energy for my domestic power needs in a phased    manner.

With the intention of reducing fossil fuel utility below fifty percent

  • I will cut short my regular holiday trips using cars by half.
  • I will avoid frequent flying either for business or for pleasure.
  • I will prefer walking or cycling to reach short distances.
  • I will opt public transportation, where ever possible, instead of cars

In order to reduce my contribution towards global warming

  • I will restrict myself from attending or organising extravagant celebrations or social gatherings.
  • I will buy household articles, gadgets and food items for sheer necessity and not for the sake of wasteful consumerism.
  • I will try to substitute uncooked natural diet such as fruits salads, and nuts instead of the usual cooked meal at least once a day.
  • I will prefer locally available farm products instead of packed, frozen and stored food items.
  • I will support every endeavour, in principle and by practice, to switch over to renewable energy even at the cost of foregoing the luxury of speed and time.
