Airbee Wireless in Chennai
The US-based Airbee Wireless, Inc., an innovator of intelligent software for wireless communications, announced the launch of the company’s development centre in Chennai (India) on June 15, 2004.
Airbee Wireless is an innovator of patent–pending intelligent connectivity software for
wireless
communications. Its product portfolio enables consumer and business devices to wirelessly connect each other over short distances.
Airbee is the pioneer in the invention of intelligent software for wireless voice, data and video communications that make other products perform better. Airbee is a developer of software licensed to manufacturers of microprocessors used in an increasing number of wireless communications applications. Airbee’s competitive edge is attributed to utilizing a software approach vs. a hardware approach – enabling it to provide lower cost, greater flexibility and shorter time to market for its customers.
Raj Sundaresan, Chief Executive Officer, Airbee Wireless, said, “Our initial objective was to design, build and implement a scalable and affordable wireless connectivity solution that could operate on multiple platforms. He also said that Airbee’s intelligent software enables new markets and revenue opportunities for wireless devices, while being more affordable at the same time.

Additionally, the centre is now under the direction of Chief Technical
Officer, Ram Satagopan, who is directly overseeing a series of aggressive development activities at Chennai”.
He further added, “ Our mission at Airbee is to make wireless connectivity accessible, anywhere, anytime. And that’s just not a mission. It’s a promise”.

Airbee has offices in Maryland, Singapore and Chennai. The Chennai centre could engage as many as 60 persons in six months time.
