Boston Acoustics launches India operations
Boston
Acoustics Inc, situated in Peabody, Massachussets, a premier manufacturer of
high-performance audio solutions for home entertainment, automotive and custom
design, announced its launch of Indian operations with its range of products for
connoisseurs of music. With their sophisticated range of high-quality acoustic
equipment, Boston is bound to create an experience of real quality sound as
intended by the creators, while sitting in their cars or homes.
Speaking on the occasion,
Christophe Gairoli, international sales director, said in Chennai, "The
decision to bring Boston to India recognises the strategic importance of this
country and the considerable business opportunity we believe that exists here.
Moreover, we are also confident that the demand for our products by the Indian
consumers will reach higher levels."
The
Boston car audio range includes amplifiers, full-range components, imaging
systems and subwoofers and the home audio range includes speakers - floor
standing, bookshelf, home theatre systems arid subwoofers. As part of the audio
range of products, Boston also offers the solution of custom speakers for
various applications such as in ceiling, in the wall, and all weather/outdoor
speakers, said Christophe.
Boston Acoustics builds
world-class audio products, the specialty of which are the Boston Sound, which
means all Boston systems speak in a consistent balanced "voice", said
Michael Khare, general manager.
It
has appointed Sebastian and Sons Pvt Ltd as exclusive distributors for their car
audio products in south India and Sharda Motor Industries Ltd as their exclusive
distributors for home and custom speakers for all of India, and car audio
products for the rest of India, Khare added.
Boston
Acoustics also plans to open a liaison office soon to further their support to
their partners in the areas of sales, marketing and customer support in India,
he said. Shoby Sebastian of Sebastian and Sons Pvt Ltd said the company would
function in India from the corporate office in Bangalore. J S Puri of Sharda
Motor Industries predicted a high growth rate for the products in India.
