2 more Prodapt centres in US
 Chennai-based Prodapt
Solutions, part of the Rs. 550 crore Jhaver Group of companies, has announced
plans to add two new offices in the US in addition to its existing office in
California. The new offices would come up in Chicago & the New York area.
Prodapt also plans to
increase its employee base to 600, in the next 12 months. The proposed centres
will reinforce Prodapt's philosophy of working closely with its clients across
the globe and creating centres of excellence around the world for the
development of software solutions. The new offices would further help Prodapt
exhibit their expertise and experience in deploying J2EE based solutions,
which has been demonstrated with their clients worldwide, said Vedant Jhaver,
President, Prodapt Solutions, in Chennai.
"The decision to expand
operations in the US, highlights the strategic importance of this country and
the considerable increase in business opportunities. We shall continue to
invest in building competencies and strengthening customer relationships to
achieve our objective of delivering quality solutions to customers' business
problems", he added.
Prodapt has also set up a
dedicated offshore development centre on a BOT model in Bangalore for Concerto
Software (NASDAQ: CRTO), a leader in Contact Center Solutions based in US. The
development centre spread across an area of approximately 20,000 sq. feet
currently employs 120 people across development, support and sales. The team
is involved in a variety of engineering activities, including the development
of Concerto's future products and support & maintenance to existing
product lines. Concerto had earlier announced plans to invest US $5 million
for its offshore software development and support activities in India.
Concerto chose Prodapt to
deliver on a strategic project to internationalise its software products being
used by global call centres. Based on a very successful project delivery,
Concerto chose Prodapt to setup its offshore dedicated development centre on a
BOT model.
Sharing his views on the
partnership, Alex Tellez, Executive Vice President, Engineering, Concerto
Software said, "Prodapt has performed very well and our BOT model has
definitely been a success. Throughout, Prodapt has remained extremely focussed
and committed and has hit every significant milestone in the Concerto Software
BOT project and prior projects on time and within or under budget."

clients of Prodapt include Concerto, Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Motorola,
Affiliated Computer Services (ACS - Fortune 500 company), Vodafone ME, VSNL,
Samsung and KLA Tencor.
