Nokia mobile imaging contest
Mobile imaging enthusiasts in Chennai now have a chance to demonstrate their creativity and spontaneity by participating in 'Capture Your Imagination' (CYI), India’s first mobile imaging contest, as it rolls into their city for five days. To build interest and excitement for this mega contest Nokia has activated specially constructed CYI mobile vans across the city starting March 16. These mobile vans are supplemented by Nokia imaging zones located across the city at popular hangouts at Marina Beach, Nungambakkam High Road - Ispahani Centre, TTK Road - Alwarpet, and Satyam Theatre - Royapetta, and Spencers Plaza amongst others.
Elated with the anticipation shown by participants, Gautam Advani, Multimedia Business Director, Nokia India, said, "Nokia believes in enriching the customer’s imaging experience by providing industry leading technology that will enable users to capture, edit, view, share, print and store images. Capture your imagination is a unique contest aimed at bringing out the creativity in people and encouraging the responsible use of this technology."
The ‘CYI’ contest is open to Indian nationals over 18 years of age and will provide users an interactive and entertaining insight to the world of mobile imaging. To build consumer interest and excitement for this contest, Nokia is conducting CYI mobile roadshows across 15 cities in the country. As part of these roadshows, specially constructed Nokia mobile vans will criss-cross the short-listed cities to provide a fun-filled imaging experience to participants. These vans will have an emcee to interact with the audience and promoters who will demonstrate the ‘click, print and share’ concept using Nokia camera phones.
To participate in the contest, enthusiasts can either MMS their pictures to 5555, upload their pictures on the contest website (www.nokiaimagine.com) or E-mail the images to contest@nokiaimagine.com. The individual with the most creative imagination and best image will be judged the winner of the contest and will win a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh from Nokia. The jury for the contest will comprise of eminent creative personalities who will judge the images received on picture quality, likeability and creativity. The winner will be announced in April through a grand photo gallery exhibition.
