Reliance Mobile World has launched a 'Phone Kavithai'' (poetry) contest named 'Kavithai Sollungal' exclusively for Reliance subscribers in Tamil Nadu. Hosted on the voice portal platform of Reliance Mobile World, the contest offers various prizes. The subscriber will be charged Rs 6 per minute, said V G Somasekhar, Circle CEO.

Pa Vijay, noted lyricist of Tamil films, will play host to the contest which began on June 20, 2006. To participate in the contest, the subscriber has to enter the zone and record the poem along with name and contact details for adjudication. 

"The regional mobile data and content offerings such as 'Kavithai Solungal', are responsive to the regional ethos," said Mahesh Prasad, president, Applications Solutions and Content Group, Reliance Communications.

Lyricist Vijay said he was happy to associate with an activity which featured Tamil poetry.
