Maples to train Japanese engineers
Maples ESM Technologies is currently holding discussions with a Japanese delegation in Chennai to train Japanese engineers here.
Maples ESM Technologies' core business focus areas are Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) and Enterprise Application Services (EAS). To support these two consulting practices, Maples has a technical training division, which serves as a feeder. Maples has a presence across several cities in the country, including Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. It has also established a base in the US and Japan.
N Ram Subramani, chairman, said the company has positioned itself as a mid-segment player and would focus on companies in the US and Japan. "Now there is an excellent business opportunity to train Japanese engineers and this visit by the Japanese delegation was to firm up the arrangement for an exclusive tie-up with the Kanazawa government province in Japan. We except to train 1,000 engineers in the next 18 months. Maples is also looking for ESM consulting business from small and medium-sized companies based out of Japan."
Mino Toshio, project director (who is a part of the delegation of Kanazawa government), Japan, said they were impressed with the systems and professional approach of Maples and were looking forward to a fruitful and long relationship. This will definitely help the Kanazawa government to train its engineers in the technology of tomorrow. Ram Subramani added that Maples which has clocked a turnover of about $ 3 million for 2005, hopes to close this calendar year with a top line of close to $ 10 million. Going by the current trend of demand in market place, Maples will reach revenue of $ 25 million by 2007.
