 OrangeScape solution for Tain
Chennai-based OrangeScape Technologies (www.OrangeScape.com), one of the leading software product companies in the country, has recently signed a deal with Tain Constructions, a Pune-based leading residential and real estate company, for its flagship product 'Dimension'.
Tain Constructions is expanding at a fast pace and they have been focusing on multi-tier operations with a huge geographical spread, including overseas operations in the UK and Eastern Europe.
Tanveer Inamdar, CEO, Tain Constructions, is a tech-savvy personality and a software expert having worked with some of the world's leading consulting organisation in his earlier avtar is well-versed with technology. He said, "As an organisation, we wanted a common enterprise platform that can deliver and manage the entire operations cycle in a paperless fashion."
Tanveer further added, "Our conclusion is that, we need a system that can easily fit itself to the dynamic nature of the construction business. Some of these business changes are foreseeable, but can occur earlier than expected, while others will be very difficult to forecast. Only a process based enterprise system whose processes can be tweaked dynamically can live up to this challenge. On the other hand, existing modular ERPs mandate requirements to be frozen prior to start of implementation and there is huge recurring cost involved for ongoing maintenance of the application. Dimension offered a process oriented approach, low TCO and low demand on skills to develop and maintain."
Tain Constructions is planning to build a flexible enterprise system that works well for their construction business. Frank Thalakuttor, who heads the IT operations at Tain Constructions, conducted first-hand evaluations of several products for the last nine months to one year, before settling down for Dimension.
OrangeScape Dimension won over its well-known competitors for its flexibility and ability for on-demand customisation besides its key feature of low demand on skills so that Tain Constructions can easily develop and maintain the enterprise system on their own. Moreover, Tain Constructions was looking for a process based ERP, rather than the existing ERPs that were based on modular approach.
