Kumar Bashyam, founder and CEO, SGT India Pvt Ltd, said, "We have already invested over $ 4 million in India and are planning to invest another $ 8 million in scaling up our Indian operations. We registered an impressive growth of over 250 per cent during the last fiscal year. With the 100,000 sq ft capacity addition from our forthcoming centres at Chennai and Bangalore, we are confident of maintaining a strong growth pace in the coming years."

SGT recently entered into an agreement to provide engineering services to Mines & Metals Engineering (MME) GmbH, a leading German engineering company. As part of the agreement, SGT will provide detailed engineering services for MME's proprietary process technology for direct reduction of iron ore plants.

Louis Hendriks, executive partner - Europe, SGT India, said, "Our Engineering Process Services contribute most to our growth in revenues. This segment makes us a niche player in the process services industry. Selection by MME as their India-Ieveraged engineering design partner for complex steel projects is a defining moment in the history of SGT's Engineering Process Services. Being a Germany-based company, MME will accelerate the growth of our business in Europe."

"SGT has been a pioneer in Engineering Process Services, identifying the "big crew change" facing the global oil and gas industry, SGT has taken the lead in addressing the large market opportunity. Winning the deal with MME in Germany is a defining example of our thought leadership and in parallel catapults our launch in Europe," Bashyam added.

Commenting on the Business Process Services vertical, Hendriks said, "SGT delivers a comprehensive portfolio of Business Process Services that address the needs of SMEs, which are poised for global expansion. The services include, high-volume transaction processing as well as higher-value supply chain process services, including low-cost country sourcing. At the heart of the supply chains of tomorrow lies the need to become 'chaos tolerant'. This requires companies to invest in collabrative processes, business intelligence, and clean data. All three of which are core within SGT's Business Process Services."

Bashyam said, "Within the IT services, SGT focuses on delivering global excellence - speed, cost and quality advantages, reliably to the SMEs software companies. SGT, through its proven world-class product development, ene-to-end expertise, addresses, the varying complex challenges of the diverse set of SME software companies, enabling them to achieve sustainable business model that defines the core of these companies."

Dr Usha Dasari, director - Marketing and Corporate Communications, SGT India, said, "Our expansion in Indian operations is very crucial to meet the demand of our clients globally. Being a niche player in offering strategic services such as engineering process services, it becomes imperative for us to have the best talent in the industry working with us. SGT offers an excellent and challenging work environment in the industry. At present, all our branding and marketing initiatives are focused to attract the best resources in the industry."
