Mandira Bedi is Asmi Woman of the Year

Distinguished television actress Mandira Bedi has been chosen as the 'Asmi Woman of the Year' by the Diamond Trading Company (DTC). This year, Mandira Bedi will be a significant part of all marketing and promotional activities for the Asmi brand.

Mandira has been preferred as she is more than just a television actress, establishing a rapport with the viewers due to her easy wit and inimitable style. Following her debut as the protagonist in Adi Pocha's Shanti, almost ten years ago, Mandira has never looked back. She has modelled, acted in TV serials and most importantly was prominently featured in Extraaa Innings aired on Sony Max during the 2003 Cricket World Cup where she became a household name. At present, she features on Sony MAX programmes, 'Extraaa Shots' and 'Mandira Aapke
Ghar'.
The coming year will see her in feature films that include Ramanan's family drama Divorce, husband Raj Kaushal's Shaadi ka Laddoo and an untitled children's film to be shot in UK.
On becoming the Asmi Woman of the Year, Mandira said, "It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction to accept this honourable role. In fact, Mandira holds very strong sentiment for the caus'e of women's cricket and has decided to lend them all her support. As Asmi woman of the year, she along with the Women's Cricket Association of India helped launch the One-Day International Women's Cricket series between India and West Indies that kick-started at Dhanbad from February
26, 2004.
