Kamal Hassan b'day celebrations

Tamizhaga Kamal Hassan Narpani Iyakkam is conducting week-long programmes in the
educational and social fronts in Tamil Nadu to celebrate the birthday of the
actor which falls on November 7.
On November 2, the Iyakkam held
an oratorical competition for college students. 200 students from 110 colleges
took part in the competition.
A panel of judges comprising Dr
Kantharaj, Prof. Parween Sultana, director Ramadas, James Vasanthan, actor
Mayilsamy and Poet John Dhanraj selected the winners in the final round of the
contest.
Film actress Gouthami commenced
proceedings of the final round and gave away prizes to the winners.

Gunaseelan had made necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the
programme on behalf of the Iyakkam.
The following students won
consolation prizes -- Devanayaki (Sriram Vidyashram), Sangeetha (New College),
and Rajaram (Law College, Tiruchirapalli). The following were the prize winners
-- S Meenakshi (Law College), S Mahesh (Tiruchirapalli), K Palani (Madras
University).
