About your musical pursuits?
I hail from the renowned Semmangudi family tree and thus music is intrinsic in me. Musiri Gopalarathnam a disciple of Musiri Subramania Iyer laid a strong foundation for my musical career. My association with Pitamaha of Music Semmangudi Srinivasa iyer spans several years.

What is your contribution to make Trichy another Mecca of Music like Chennai?
Many legends have lived here and have made this place a seat of music those days . After their life time many musicians migrated to Chennai. I want to revive its old glory. Thus I have started a music school which trains many students in many streams. I have created an awareness in music by holding competitions and workshops.

About your role as an author?
I wanted this divine form to be easily understood. Thus I authored a book on Bala padam and varnam with graphic illustration facilitating the learners to have a better perspective.
