11 Hiranyagarbha Gayatri

Om Vedatmane vidhmahe
Hiranyagarbhaya dhimahi
Tanno Brahma pracodayat

May we realise the spirit of the Vedas. Let us meditate on that Hiranyagarbha, the golden-wombed god. May that Creator illumine us.

Om Tatpurusaya vidhmahe
Mahadevaya dhimahi
Tanno Rudrah pracodayat

May we realise the Tatpurusa, the Transcendental Person. May we meditate on that Mahadeva, the greatest god, and may that Rudra illumine us.

Mahasenaya dhimahi
Tanno Sanmukhah pracodayat

May we realise that Tatpurusa, the Cosmic person. Let us meditate on that Mahasena, the commander-in-chief of celestials and may that Sanmukha, the six-faced god. (Subrahmanya, the son of Siva), illumine us.

May we realise that son of ocean of milk. Let us meditate on that principle of nectar. May that Candra, the presiding deity over the moon, illumine us.

May we realise that Vanisvara, who blesses us with vocabulary. Let us meditate on Hayagriva, the horse faced god. May Hayagriva the munificent Lord illumine us.
