 Basics & Genesis will be hosting the annual sale at their store on Nungambakkam High Road, starting April 4th. The sale is a ten-day long event, and will continue till the 13th of April. A 50% discount will be offered on all the Baiscs and Genesis products.
Stated as Chennai's 'original sale', the Basics & Genesis sale has traditionally been an occasion to look forward to across markets in the city. This year's sale is the fourth consecutive sale in Chennai. With production qualities and inventory planning skills having increased manifold at Hasbro, extra stock & defective production have become rare occurrences indeed. The company now uses the occasion to phase out the year's extra stock, more than the defective stock. The annual sale, having become more or less a ritual for the customers!
"The Genesis & Baiscs sale is not the typical 'seconds sale'. It is in fact an opportunity for us to connect with our existing and potential customers. It's more a giving back to our customers once a year. And this we believe is an important gesture," said Mr. Hanif Sattar, Partner - Hasbro.
 This year, the products on sale will be shirts, trousers and other accessories. The sale will be from 10 a.m to 8 p.m. every day.
Commenting on the preparations for this year's sale Mr. Suhail Sattar, Partner-Hasbro, said, "We are going the extra mile to make the experience special for our loyal shopper. Added facilities like a shamiana is being organised. We will also have customer service people outside the store to take measurements of the customers, so that the process of choosing the correct size inside becomes that much easier".
