Want to make a new fashion statement?? Something that will stand apart, be one of a kind, but still suit your purse strings.
Go to Chennai's famous cotton street (what I have named the roadside-wallahs selling export reject materials @rs 30 per metre,) and mix'n'match to your heart's content!
Pick up the material that grabs your heart and catches your fancy ... be it a midi, a wrap around, a salwar kameez with cool voile dupattas, a sleeveless short top for your jeans,
pyjamas or nighties... and have it embroidered,
block printed, or stitched in simple patterns with just a few mirrors here and there...
Go to your nearest neighbourhood tailor or your favorite designer ... create a whole new simple ethnic wardrobe ... don't be nervous or apprehensive if you are "pleasantly plump" or "broomstick thin" ... you can easily overcome your disadvantages ... with
"camouflage by design" and choice of colour, ultimately its how confident you are! and how you carry yourself!!!
 It's not what dress you wear ... but HOW you wear it !!!
So ... for all you "chennai-ites" ... whether its a
summer camp you are dropping your kid in, taking your mom out on may 11th (!!!), showing off
singara chennai to your cousins who are visiting you ... or plain painting the town red ...
