Welcome to 'Namma Bengaluru'

On the Road

Opium, Bangalore's hippest and hottest night club, announced its plans to make the Chennaite feel at home in Bangalore city with the launch of its "Feel @ home" initiative. The "Feel @ home" initiative ensures that people who are from out of town get special privileges and packages on their visit to Opium or to Kapalua the open-air lounge or Dhanush the Northwest Frontier Cuisine restaurant. In this series, Chennai is one of the cities that has been chosen to receive some special privileges and get pampered the Bangalore way. These three properties are the forerunners in entertainment and fine dining in the city and are a favourite with the party-goers in Bangalore.

This is the first time a stand-alone property from Bangalore has taken the initiative to promote 'After dark' tourism in the city. Given the fact that there has been an increase in the number of business travellers from across the globe into the city and that these visitors want to feel at home, Opium has launched this initiative to ensure visitors feel comfortable with the nightlife of Bangalore city. All that a visitor has to do is flash his/her driver's license or identity card at any of these three places confirming their identity as an out-of-towner and get some preferential treatment.

The "Feel @ home" privileges include a whole lot of goodies like a FREE welcome drink, 10% discount on food and drink on weeknights, two songs of your choice on priority request, priority table reservations if you want to move outdoors for dinner to Kapalua or Dhanush. On weekends, express entry to the pub is assured. To give it that totally Bangalore feel will be souvenirs like 'I was at Bangalore's hippest pub' and I've been there - have you?' on them. These three properties are owned and managed by N.M. Hospitality, which is the front-runner in the entertainment industry.

Opium, Bangalore's hippest nightclub situated just off Airport Road is an experience quite unmatched in the city. It is one of the snazziest cocktail lounges and has become 'the' place to be for the young and upwardly mobile crowd. Started on July 4th 2001, this club, which indicates intoxication, is exactly that for those who know how to party. Right from the onyx bar, which is the longest in the city, to the curved projection screen to the glass dance floor to the shimmering gold pillars to the luxurious seating, this place is the epitome of swank. It has unobtrusive lighting and a privilege lounge for those who want to spend some time by themselves. The Opium restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner, serves a variety of exotic Chinese and Thai food.

Dhanush the Northwest Frontier Cuisine restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants in the city. In a city filled with restaurants, Dhanush has managed to establish itself as a fine dining restaurant for the discerning food lover. The secret behind their mouth-watering food is that they use some of the most authentic, succulent spices of the North. More than just a restaurant, Dhanush has established itself as a dining experience that has to be 'experienced' to be liked and eventually loved. True to their theme of 'A North Indian Adventure' there is something here for everybody to discover. Kapalua is the open-air lounge. Food, fun, stars and sun is the theme behind this Hawaiian theme lounge and that is exactly what you get here. Situated in between Opium and Dhanush it provides the perfect setting for a romantic evening. Cool breeze and subtle music make it the ideal place for those seeking to rejuvenate themselves after a hectic day. The regular food-fests held here is proof of their popularity. Come here to get your slice of the happening in Bangalore city.
