Perhaps the most beautiful and the best-kept of these relics is the immaculately maintained British War Cemetery where lie buried those British troops who died in Madras during World War II. Far from home they lie under dazzling white tombstones standing in military order and under a canopy of lush green grass beneath azure skies.
