Chennai, 30th January 2021: GEM Hospital, India’s premier Gastroenterology, laparoscopic and Robotic surgery hospital celebrated 30 years of journey in Laparoscopy by inaugurating “Dr. Palanivelu’s Minimally Invasive Cancer Surgery Centre” and “Centre of Excellence in Esophagus Cancer Surgery” today. Mr. R G Chandramogan, CEO & Managing Director, Hatsun Agro Product Ltd., inaugurated the Centres at GEM Hospital Chennai.
To mark the occasion of World Cancer Day which falls on 4th Feb, an exclusive 24×7 Cancer helpline (Mobile No: 9500200600 and Email cancerinfo@geminstitute.in) was also launched to address the problems of all cancer patients. Patients from anywhere in the country can make use of this helpline. It will provide assistance and expert panel guidance across various specialities, provide patient testimonials to clear the fear of new cancer patients to go through the treatment with confidence and provide financial assistance if required, in association with GEM Foundation. It will also provide online consultation and screening for cancer.
Celebrating 30yrs of excellence in the field of laparoscopy, Dr.C.Palanivelu, Founder & Chairman, GEM Hospitals said, “Esophageal Cancer is the 4th most common cancer related deaths in India.
