PM Modi Hoists Saffron Flag on Ram Temple

Ayodhya celebrated a historic event as Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted a
saffron flag on top of the Ram Temple, marking its official completion.
This comes twenty-two months after he performed the consecration of the Ram
Lalla idol. The 10×20 feet flag, decorated with the Sun, ‘Om’, and the Kovidara
tree, represents Lord Ram’s brilliance and courage. The ceremony was held on Vivah
Panchami, the auspicious day celebrating the marriage of Ram and Sita, adding
spiritual importance to the occasion.

Around 7,000 guests attended, including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Governor
Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Many attendees came fro
middle and lower-middle-class backgrounds, backward classes, scheduled castes,
and minority communities, showing inclusivity. Temple workers and donors were also
present.

Annapurna Mandir, and performed darshan and pooja at the Ram Darbar Garbh Grah
and Ram Lalla Garbh Grah. The 2.7-acre temple complex now has 14 additional
temples, bells, flags, and a spire above the sanctum. Ayodhya was beautifully
decorated with flowers, lights, rangolis, and a laser show.

Strict security was in place, with nearly 7,000 personnel, barricades, and
digital surveillance to ensure safety. The event, including the flag hoisting,
was broadcast live on Doordarshan, so devotees across India could watch this
historic moment
