The bidding process for Warner Bros. has officially started.
Paramount, Comcast, and Netflix have all submitted bids for part or all
of Warner Bros. Discovery, a source confirmed on Thursday. This begins a
process that may result in the company being sold to a new buyer, either
entirely or in parts.
Currently, Paramount, led by CEO David Ellison, is the only company aiming
to buy the entire WBD portfolio. This includes popular film and TV studios
like HBO and HBO Max, along with cable channels such as TNT, TBS, CNN, HGTV,
and Food Network.
