The movie BP 180, directed by JP, stars Tanya Ravichandran, Daniel Balaji,
From the title, you might expect a medical crime thriller, but the real meaning is
revealed while watching — the makers say the story is so intense it can raise the
audience’s blood pressure to 180! Does it really?
The first half of the film is definitely tense, but the second half loses some of
that intensity. The story focuses on a conflict — not a direct fight — between Daniel
Balaji, who plays a dangerous Chennai gangster, and Tanya Ravichandran, a government
hospital doctor. Their clash, triggered by ego, slowly turns into a strong desire for
revenge, which forms the main plot.
Usually, Tamil films give the big interval punch through a hero’s dialogue, but here,
it’s the heroine who delivers a strong mass line before the break. Tanya performs this
scene impressively, making it a refreshing moment.
