The world was shocked when Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman died on August
28, 2020, after battling colon cancer. He was only 43, and his death left
Hollywood, fans, friends, and family in deep grief. Recently, fans received some
good news as Boseman was honoured with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of
Fame. His family, friends, and colleagues attended the ceremony.
The event began with a speech by Jerry Neuman, chair of the Hollywood Chamber of
Commerce. He said, “We at the Hollywood Chamber are honoured to celebrate his
legacy today and forever, as his name is now permanently on this Walk of Fame.”
Then the CEO, Steve Nissen, announced, “In the motion pictures category,
we proudly honour Chadwick Boseman with star number 2828 on the Hollywood
Walk of Fame.”
