Dharmendra, Bollywood’s ‘He-Man,’ Passes Away at 89

Bollywood is grieving the death of veteran actor Dharmendra, who passed away in
Mumbai at 89, just days before his 90th birthday. Known as the ‘He-Man of
Bollywood,’ he had a career of more than six decades and acted in over 300 films.

Dharmendra had recently left Breach Candy Hospital and was reportedly recovering.
On November 24, an ambulance was seen leaving his house, and several celebrities
visited the Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu. Filmmaker Karan Johar confirmed his
death, though the family has not yet made an official statement.

The cause of death has not been shared, but he had been unwell since November 1
when he was hospitalized. His last film, Ikkis by Sriram Raghavan, starring
Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat, is set to release
on December 25, 2025.
