Award-winning filmmaker Josh Safdie (COM’07) returned to campus on November 21 to hold a master class for College of Communication students. He spoke with Craig Shepherd, COM’s film and television chair, about his journey from being a student filmmaker to becoming a Hollywood director. After the class, Safdie attended a screening of his new film, Marty Supreme, at the Coolidge Corner Theatre. The movie, starring Timothée Chalamet as a table tennis player, was co-written, directed, and produced by Safdie and will release on December 25. Students from Boston University, Emerson, and Boston College also attended the screening.
