Prawn Koliwada Recipe

Ingredients (for 300 gm prawns):

300 gm Prawns

1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste

1 tsp Red chilli powder

3 tsp Besan (gram flour)

2 tsp Maida (all-purpose flour)

4 tsp Yogurt

1 tsp Oil

2 tsp Lemon juice

2 tsp Coriander powder

Salt, to taste

Oil for deep-frying

Chaat masala, as needed

How to Make Prawn Koliwada:

Prepare the prawns: Wash and devein the prawns. Pat them dry.

Marinate: Mix prawns with ginger-garlic paste, ½ tsp red chilli powder, coriander powder, 1 tsp lemon juice, and salt. Let them rest for 20–25 minutes.

Coat the prawns: Squeeze out extra moisture. Add maida, besan, yogurt, oil, remaining lemon juice, and remaining red chilli powder. Mix well so prawns are fully coated.

Deep-fry: Heat oil in a kadhai or deep pan on medium heat. Fry the prawns in batches until they turn golden brown.

Drain and serve: Place fried prawns on tissue paper to remove extra oil. Sprinkle chaat masala on top.
