Ingredients
For the Potatoes:
2 potatoes, peeled and sliced
3–4 tbsp cornflour or maida
Salt, to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
Oil, for deep frying
For the Sauce/Base:
1 tsp oil
Spring onions (with stalk), chopped
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 capsicum, sliced
2 tbsp honey
Salt, to taste
1/4 tsp soy sauce
3 tsp white sesame seeds
2 tsp chili sauce
How to Make Honey Chilli Potatoes
Step 1 – Prepare the Potatoes:
In a bowl, mix cornflour (or maida), salt, and red chili powder.
Add the potato slices and coat them well with the mixture.
Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the potatoes until they turn golden and crispy. Keep aside.
Step 2 – Prepare the Sauce/Base:
In a wok, heat 1 tsp oil and add garlic paste and spring onions. Sauté on high heat for 1 minute.
Add sliced capsicum, honey, salt, soy sauce, and chili sauce. Sauté for 2–3 minutes.
Add the fried potatoes and sprinkle sesame seeds. Mix everything well.
Step 3 – Serve:
Serve the Honey Chilli Potatoes hot as a snack or appetizer. Enjoy the crispy, sweet, and spicy taste!
