Goa AIIA Seeks Land for Wellness Centre

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in Goa is working with the state government to become a major centre for wellness and medical tourism in India. The goal is to compete with other well-known Ayurveda hubs such as Kerala and Uttarakhand.

To support its growth, the Institute has requested the state government to provide an additional 50 acres of land. This extra space will help AIIA expand its facilities and strengthen its position in the holistic and wellness industry.

The Institute aims to offer integrated and preventive medical care, focusing on traditional Ayurveda practices while combining modern wellness approaches. With this expansion, Goa could become an important destination for people seeking health, wellness, and medical tourism in India.

Officials said that developing AIIA in Goa will not only attract domestic and international visitors but also create job opportunities and promote the state as a centre for Ayurveda and natural healthcare.

The move is part of a broader plan to make India a global leader in wellness tourism, using its traditional medical knowledge and natural therapies to attract tourists and improve healthcare services.
