In New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday intensified the BJP’s campaign in West Bengal, where elections are approaching. He focused on key issues such as illegal infiltration, citizenship, and alleged corruption under the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) government.
Speaking at a public rally in Katwa in Purba Bardhaman district, he addressed a large gathering of supporters. During his speech, he criticized the current state government and highlighted the BJP’s plans if it comes to power.
The Prime Minister promised that the process of giving citizenship under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) would be made faster for eligible refugee families. He said that many people who have been waiting for citizenship would benefit from this move.
He also stressed that his party is committed to ensuring better governance and development in the state. According to him, issues like corruption and illegal activities need to be addressed strongly.
Overall, the rally showed that the BJP is focusing on major political and social issues as it campaigns to gain support from voters in West Bengal ahead of the elections.
