“Air Force Civilian Arrested for Alleged Spying Case”

A civilian employee working at an Indian Air Force station in Assam has been arrested on charges of spying. Officials say the person is accused of sharing sensitive and confidential information with handlers from Pakistan.

The arrest was confirmed on Sunday (March 22, 2026) by Prafull Kumar, Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) in Rajasthan. He said the operation was carried out jointly by Rajasthan Intelligence and Air Force Intelligence after careful monitoring and investigation.

According to officials, the accused had access to important and sensitive information due to his role at the Air Force station. He is suspected of passing on details that could pose a risk to national security. Authorities have not disclosed full details yet, as the investigation is still in progress.

Security agencies are now trying to find out how long the accused had been involved in these activities. They are also checking whether he was working alone or if others are connected to the case. Investigators are examining if any classified information was leaked and assessing the possible impact of such leaks.

Officials are also looking into how the accused came into contact with the alleged handlers and what methods were used to share information. Digital devices and communication records are likely being analysed as part of the probe.

The case has raised concerns about security at defence establishments. It highlights the need for strict monitoring, background checks, and regular surveillance to prevent such incidents. Authorities have said that strong action will be taken against anyone found guilty of activities that threaten the country’s safety.

Further investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to come out in the coming days as agencies continue their inquiry.
