Amir Warns Abhishek After Three Ducks

Veteran Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has strongly criticised India opener Abhishek Sharma after the batter was dismissed for three consecutive ducks at the start of the ICC T20 World Cup.

Before India’s big match against Pakistan in Colombo last Sunday, Amir had called Abhishek a “slogger,” suggesting that he relies only on aggressive shots rather than proper technique. After Abhishek’s poor performances in the first few matches, Amir’s comments have gained more attention.

In India’s final Group A match against the Netherlands on Wednesday, Abhishek was dismissed again without scoring. He got out on the third ball of the first over to Dutch bowler Aryan Dutt. Abhishek tried to play a pull shot, but the ball moved quickly and beat his bat, leading to his dismissal.

The young opener’s repeated failures have raised concerns about his form and shot selection. Cricket experts say he may need to adjust his approach and spend more time at the crease to regain confidence.

With the tournament moving into crucial stages, India will hope their opener can bounce back quickly and contribute important runs for the team.
