Army Chief Flags Off RannBhoomi Expedition Finale

Chief of the Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi flagged off the closing ceremony of the Bharat RannBhoomi Darshan (D2D) Expedition at the National War Memorial in New Delhi today. The event marked the successful completion of a 22-day journey that covered nearly 3,400 kilometres across western India.

The expedition began on the 3rd of this month from Dwarka in Gujarat. It was jointly led by the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Border Security Force (BSF). The aim of the expedition was to honour India’s war heroes and showcase the country’s rich military history.

During the journey, the team travelled through important locations in Gujarat and Rajasthan. These places are linked to major battles and military operations that have played a key role in protecting the nation. At each stop, participants paid tribute to soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country.

The expedition also aimed to create awareness among citizens, especially the youth, about India’s defence forces and their contribution to national security. Various events, interactions, and commemorative programmes were organised along the route.

At the concluding ceremony in New Delhi, senior defence officials and personnel gathered to celebrate the successful completion of the expedition. The event highlighted the courage, dedication, and sacrifices of India’s armed forces and reinforced the importance of remembering the nation’s military heritage.
