In a recent operation, the Avadi Tank Factory police nabbed two individuals, including a juvenile, for their involvement in smuggling psychotropic tablets from Hyderabad to Tamil Nadu. The apprehension occurred during a routine vehicle check in Kovilpathagai, where fleeing suspects abandoned a bag containing 15,000 nitrazepam tablets.
Identified as G. Dinesh, 24, of Mogappair, and a 17-year-old, the culprits were swiftly apprehended. Investigations revealed their procurement of the illicit tablets in Hyderabad before transporting them into Tamil Nadu.
