Bangladesh Bowlers Shine in ODI Rankings

A group of fast bowlers from Bangladesh have seen a big jump in their ICC Men’s ODI rankings after helping their team win a 2-1 series against New Zealand. Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, and Nahid Rana took 18 wickets together during the series and are now ranked much higher.

Shoriful moved up 11 places to 28th, Rahman jumped 14 spots to 41st, and Nahid, who was named Player of the Series, rose 16 positions to 48th. This boost comes ahead of next year’s Cricket World Cup, showing how strong Bangladesh’s fast bowling has become.

In ODI batting rankings, Najmul Hossain Shanto moved up 11 places to 32nd and Litton Das climbed 15 spots to 65th after their strong performances. All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz also improved by one place to third following his contributions in the final match.

In T20I rankings, Bangladesh’s batters made gains too. Towhid Hridoy, who scored a half-century and was named Player of the Match, jumped nine places to 39th. Parvez Emon also moved up three spots to 40th. Mahedi Hasan, known for his bowling, rose three positions to 18th.

Some players from Nepal also saw improvements in their rankings after playing against the UAE. Dipendra Airee and Kushal Bhurtel both made gains in T20I batting and all-rounder lists. (ANI)
