Narendra Modi will speak in the Lok Sabha today and explain India’s position on the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He is expected to share important details about the situation and how it may affect India.
On the previous day, the Prime Minister chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security to review the developments related to the conflict. The meeting focused on understanding the global situation and planning steps to reduce its impact on the country.
During the meeting, Mr Modi said that the conflict is still developing and that it is affecting countries around the world in different ways. He stressed that the government must take all necessary steps to protect Indian citizens from any negative impact.
He instructed all departments of the government to work together closely to ensure that people face as little difficulty as possible. He also asked officials to coordinate with state governments to prevent problems like black marketing and hoarding of essential goods.
To handle the situation effectively, the Prime Minister directed the formation of a special group of ministers and senior officials. This group will work together using a “whole-of-government” approach, meaning all departments will coordinate and act together. Separate teams will also be created for different sectors, working closely with stakeholders to address specific challenges.
During the meeting, T V Somanathan gave a detailed presentation. He explained the current global situation and the steps already taken by different ministries, as well as the plans for further action.
The government is closely monitoring the situation and preparing for any possible impact on the economy, supply of goods, and safety of citizens. More details are expected after the Prime Minister’s address in Parliament.
