Bharat Taxi Launched to Empower Drivers Nationwide

Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the new ‘Bharat Taxi’ service will help bring people together through cooperation and shared ownership. He explained that the platform will allow taxi drivers to pool small amounts of money and work collectively to build a strong and successful business.

In a post on social media, Mr. Shah said that Bharat Taxi will not only help drivers earn better profits but also give them the dignity of being owners of the service. Instead of working for private companies, drivers will be able to become partners in the cooperative and share the benefits.

He described the launch as an important step for the taxi community, especially for small drivers who often struggle with high commissions and low earnings. The cooperative model aims to reduce middlemen and ensure that more income goes directly to the drivers.

The Home Minister also said that Bharat Taxi will be the first taxi service in the country to operate under the cooperative sector. He believes this model will promote unity, financial security, and self-reliance among drivers.

The service is scheduled to be launched in New Delhi today. Mr. Shah expressed his eagerness to take part in the launch event and called it a significant day for taxi drivers across the country.

Officials say the initiative could create new opportunities for employment and serve as an alternative to private ride-hailing platforms.
